Dreams do come true. If you chase them!

It was always my dream to pursue an MBA, live in Europe, and learn Spanish. I was lucky enough to be able to do so in one of the most wonderful places I've ever been to: Madrid.

Surrounded by tradition, culture, diversity (and lots of sun). I made some of the best friends in Madrid, people that I call family. They've changed my life by adding a new dimension in me that did not exist before. I traveled over 120 times in six years (work and fun) and learned so much about people, communication, relationships, and difference.

It wasn't always easy. Big life changes tend to have their ups and downs. I had some of the toughest times of my life in Madrid:

Getting laid off when a startup didn't raise funding

Getting hit with fines and big tax bills because I didn't understand the legal code in Spanish

Working with some really challenging people, in tough environments

Becoming an entrepreneur because there was no other option

These immigrant stories are privileged stories. Might be strange to say but I'm lucky to have had them. They taught me so much and, most importantly, surrounded me with my people, those who have your back next time you make a big leap.

The next big leap is another lifelong dream of mine: New York City. And I couldn't be more ready for it. The last two months have been a hurricane: conferences, clients, trips, closing a life in Madrid and opening one in New York City. Thankfully I'm not doing it alone this time. Alejandra Dito and I have just completed two weeks in a city that feels right for us, like a hand in a glove. Ambition, drive, toughness, fun. Let's see where this journey takes us.

I continue building fun products and programs, consulting, directing, and teaching. I have already begun the famous coffee route to get to know people here in New York City as I pinch myself to realize that I'm no longer dreaming.
