What do you enjoy most about teaching?

It's the ability to connect with students on a level where you feel useful, where you feel that you can help them avoid stumbling the way you have but without overprotecting them too much because the hardships of life make them much stronger than a life where todo está bien.

Every once in a while you stumble upon a student that makes you want to continue working, keep contributing, and gives you some validation that you truly are having an impact. I hope that's the case anyway.

Pablo Anchia is somebody that respects the process, not afraid to ask questions, prioritizes relationships, and humble enough to ask for help when he's lost. If you can put together a general recipe for success, I don't know a better one than that.

He understands that there are no bandaid solutions in life although we are sold them on a continuous basis by society. Getting good grades in university IS important, but it's not more important than the work ethic you develop, the lifelong friends you make, and the global perspective that you acquire. More than anything, he understood that being great at grade-getting was not the only thing he would strive for, developing a love for the learning process, staying adaptable and relentless.

Pablo and I have had sessions about investing, careers, life. He's asked me questions that have made me reflect on my own life, teaching me many lessons in return. This guy has got a bright future ahead of him as he prepares for a global career that may start in NYC.
