What an event!
What an event! Just about 20 months ago, we started this project, having no idea where it would end up. Would we be able to empower entrepreneurs to grow their startups? Would global investors be interested in investing in those startups? Would the youth be interested in pursuing an “alternative” career that embodies a ton of risk? We had no idea.
As of last week’s Investment Day event, I could answer “Yes” to all those questions. The number of solid pitches that got up on that stage, the number of people (investors, clients, partners, team members) that expressed serious interest in working with those startups, and finally, the number of young people that came up to me during the event and just started pitching their new creative startup idea – these instances lead me to believe that SABAH.HUB is breaking through on the global scene of the entrepreneurship.
If I were to type out all the amazing people who helped make this event come true, LinkedIn would cut me off before I even started, but there are a few specific people I cannot miss. Paris de l'Etraz, PhD for giving me the opportunity to work on this exciting project. Rahim Bayramli for being the changemaker in the community to lead such an initiative. Orkhan Abbasov for being the bulldog that he is and pushing every one of us to be better day in and day out. Talifa Isgandar for her ability to organize an enormous group of people without any problem. And Farhad Pashayev for his unrelenting energy and passion for educational empowerment in Azerbaijan.
The future is so exciting! If you have not been to Azerbaijan yet, or heard of the SABAH.HUB project, please take a look or you’ll miss out.
